NLSA signs MoU with National Library & Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran
The Ambassador of the People's Republic of Iran, His Excellency Asghar Ebrahim Asla and the Cultural advisor to the President of Islamic Republic of Iran and Director of the National Library and Archives, Ali Akbar Ashari visited the National Library of South Africa to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and cooperation with the National Librarian of South Africa, John Tsebe.
The National Library of South Africa has signed mutually beneficial MoU's with the leading national libraries in the world including British Library and the National Library of China, in pursuit of the National Library of South Africa vision to become "the leading national library and centre of excellence in Africa and the world".
There has been professional exchange activities between National Library of South Africa and it's partners abroad. These includes book donations from the National Library of China and Iran. The British Library has also trained the NLSA conservators.
