SA Classics Reprints Provincial Launch: Nothern Cape
The National Library of South Africa has embarked on the hand over of the South African Classics to the nine Provinces. The National Librarian (CEO) has ceremonially handed over classics books to the MEC of Sport, Arts and Culture in Northern Cape, Ms Pauline Williams on 9 July 2009.
The event was attended by more than 250 people who included the aspiring writers who had attended the Creative Writing Workshop which was held
from 6 – 10 July 2009. The public expressed their excitement about the reprinted classics books and as such they needed to know how they can obtain copies.
The young writers were inspired by the great classics work and some young
people have seen classics books which are now filmed among others:

la Mawele.
The National Library will be handing over the second batch of reprinted books in Bloemfontein, Free State on Tuesday, 8 September 2009.
