- The NLSA as institutional member of IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) and CDNL (Conference of Directors of National Libraries) has taken the initiative to maintain a database of national libraries in Africa. The information was collected by means of online registration, faxes, e-mails and other means of communication. Other sources used were the World Guide to Libraries (20th edition, 2006), the IFLA website, Wikipedia and the Internet in general. As we would like to keep the information up to date, there is a facility on record display level to inform us of any corrections.
