DAC and Argentinian Delegation Meeting
The Department of Arts and Culture (DAC) hosted a breakfast meeting with an Argentinian delegation on 4 February 2014 at the NLSA Pretoria campus. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and establish collaboration between the two countries in the field of arts and culture.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, Ms Magdalene Failloce, the Argentinian Ambassador to South Africa, Mr R.Carlos Sersale di Cerisano, and officials from the Argentinian Embassy.

DAC agency representatives included chief executive officers of the NLSA, National Arts Council of South Africa, National Film and Video Foundation, National Heritage Council, State Theatre, Market Theatre, Ditsong Museum and a number of DAC officials.

The meeting presented a platform for the chief executive officers to present their agency, their services, their operations and management. This led to in-depth discussions and comparisons about how such agencies are managed in Argentina. The meeting was a huge success as both countries were able to exchange knowledge, ideas, suggestions and recommendations beneficial to both countries' arts and culture units.
